Journal Entry 1: What's your favorite dog breed?

My favorite dog breed is a Coton de Tulear. I like this breed because they are adorable and they won't get mad at you a bit. They got the name Coton which means cotton in french and Tulear is a port city on the island of Madagascar. Their origin story is quite confusing though because some say their ancestors were brought to Madagascar aboard a pirate ship. Others say they were owned and accompanied french ladies who were traveling to Madagascar and just happen to land there. But the most common belief is that they descended from dogs whose owner's ship crashed and had to travel to the nearest island which was Madagascar.

Did you know that Coton de Tulears are hypoallergenic which means that they are highly unlikely to cause an allergic reaction so if anyone in your family has asthma they probably won't get an allergic reaction. And most dogs of this breed don't bark too much meaning they are a quiet dog. These dogs are great for a normal family since they are a bright, happy-go-lucky companion dog whose favorite activities include clowning, cavorting, and following thier special human around the house. The Coton de Tulear is small but robustly sturdy 

So if you would like to get a dog I suggest you get a Coton de Tulear.
